Tree Moving

To move your trees we must have adequate clearance. See below:

• The 45” spade can dig trees up to 4” in trunk diameter (deciduous) or 10ft tall (coniferous) in the spring and fall, 3” in the summer.

  • Minimum 10’ of access clearance, or 12’ if driving between houses.

• The 65” spade can dig trees up to 6” in trunk diameter (deciduous) or 15’ tall (coniferous) in the spring and fall, 5” in the summer.

  • Minimum 12’ of access clearance, or 15’ if driving between houses.

• The 90” spade can dig trees up to 9” in trunk diameter or 23’ tall (coniferous) in the spring and fall, 7” in the summer.

  • Minimum 12’ of access clearance, or 20’ if driving between houses.

For tree moving, we charge on an hourly basis. The prices are listed below and may increase based on site conditions. Travel time is charged one way.

After relocating a tree, we add soil to fill in any gaps and top the root ball with fresh mulch. This improves the survivability of a tree after transplanting. We are happy to do this for you for an additional charge.
